Therapist Overview

As both a therapist and yoga teacher, I believe we have the capacity to access our own inner knowing and sense of awareness. Sometimes we just need some redirection about how to get there. I believe in a compassionate approach to therapy, which expands resiliency, encourages self-agency, and invites discovery. I know firsthand the power of mindfulness practice and body-centered techniques as a way to work through overwhelming emotions and life experiences. I view this work from a strengths-based, holistic lens and I utilize a psychodynamic, integrative, relational perspective with an emphasis in mindfulness-based work. I incorporate components of the Health at Every Size (HAES) model and I am currently studying Somatic Experiencing. I recently relocated my practice from Chicago to Seattle, and I am starting to see new clients in the West Seattle neighborhood. I am licensed in both states – in Illinois as an LCSW (149.018816) and Washington as an LICSW (LW60990238).
