Therapist Overview
I believe the key to having a good therapeutic outcome, is finding a therapist who you are compatible with. I have honed my skills over the years working with adolescents and children, doing client led Play Therapy and Art Therapy. I also work with adults. My specialty is in treating depression, anxiety, issues related to divorce, blended families, self-esteem, and grief. As my client, you will unfold at your own rate. Therapy sessions will look different for each person, as we each have different needs. We will work together, towards your goals, in a safe and nonjudgemental place. My training was in Humanistic Psychology, which emphasizes that we are all unique individuals, not meant to be put in a diagnostic box. I naturally have a warm presence and I believe this helps my clients feel at ease. Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Psychodynamic Theory are what primarily guide me. The Albert Ellis Institute in NYC is where I received Primary Certification in Rational Emotive Behavior
