Therapist Overview
I specialize in helping people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, and I’m passionate about helping those of us who struggle with trauma related to their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or history of substance use. I work with a diverse range of clients and will tailor therapy to your unique needs. As we build a working relationship, I will listen to you, your feelings, and your experiences with respect, curiosity, and care. I’ll meet you where you are today, and provide a warm, affirming space in which to understand what brought you here and how you might move forward. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and hold an MA in Counseling from the University of the District of Columbia and a BA from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD. I provide psychotherapy to adults in private practice and in nonprofit community-based mental health organizations. My post-graduate training includes Fellowship Programs at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis; and the Clinical Program on Psychotherapy Practice at the Washington School of Psychiatry.
