Therapist Overview
I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My goal as a counselor is jointly working with clients so that they can overcome their problems by implementing the skills that I can teach while encouraging them to be the person they want to be by creating a stronger sense of self-worth. My goal is to treat everyone equally with unconditional positivity. I utilize techniques from Rogerian Theory using Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. Providing ways client’s can understand how their thoughts influence their feelings and effect what they say and do. Additional techniques that I can teach, such as Mindfulness and deep breathing are very effective in reducing anxiety and stress. I particularly understand issues for those who are struggling with anxiety, coming out, depression, grief, identity role confusion, relationship issues and spirituality.
