Therapist Overview
I really enjoy working with kiddos. I love their creativity and unique outlook on life. Most of my career has been focused on working with children in many settings. I have worked with kids who are dealing with grief, anger, anxiety, sadness, adjustment, and many other issues. My specialty is working with children age 4-12. I also do individual work with adults who seek support for life transitions, clarifying role issues, or who are interested in personal growth. I utilize the modality of sand tray therapy to help individuals explore and understand their issues, and look at them in new ways. I am a Registered Play Therapist. This means I have sought extensive child-specific training and supervision beyond my license requirements in the area of Play Therapy. In addition, I am trained in EMDR. With children, I combine the play and sand modalities with EMDR as appropriate. With adolescents and adults, I utilize talk therapies, EMDR, and sand tray. Being a child (or a parent of a child!)
