Therapist Overview
Whether you are experiencing a major life transition or looking to fine-tune your daily life, I believe counseling and art therapy are effective tools to help you move through your life more skillfully and with greater zest. The therapeutic relationship we will form creates a space where you can explore your life with greater curiosity, hope and accountability than you may be able to on your own. I know that you have the tools you need to move through life’s challenges, and as your therapist, I can help you rediscover those tools and build upon them with a few ideas of my own. Skills of creativity, such as problem-solving, curiosity, and exploration, will be present in every session. My additional training as a relational-cultural therapist means that I’ll also bring a strong degree of transparency to our sessions, ask for feedback, and make space to discuss how social context and identity impact your life and our work together. Teletherapy offers us a unique opportunity to build a counseling relationship across distance. If we choose to use art in our sessions, we will work creatively together to use materials available to you in your home. Please give me a call to set up an initial consult (by phone or video), or a first session if you are ready to dive in.
