Therapist Overview
Hello, I have been in the mental health field for twelve years. My goal is to remove the stigma behind mental health for many communities and to help people openly discuss their mental health through therapy. It is normal to be apprehensive about seeking therapy, especially if one has never been before. An individual’s motivation to seek therapy does not have to be the same as someone else’s, nor do things need to be bad before beginning therapy. My approach is always client focused. I work with patients on building their self-esteem and problem solving abilities, while empowering them to gain self-awareness on how to navigate their feelings, behaviors, and thoughts. I am well practiced in various treatment modalities, such as motivational, cognitive-behavioral, dialectic and psychodynamic therapy. I have extensive experience working with a diverse population. My specialties include depression, anxiety, stress, grief, among many others. I have worked with individuals across developmental lifespans (ages 5-99), who sought to learn different methods to handle challenges presented in their lives in a safe and empathic environment.
