Therapist Overview

I graduated from Aurora University in Illinois in 2008 with an MSW (Masters in Social Work). I have experience with child-centered play therapy through my work in early intervention and treatment for autism spectrum disorder and children with disabilities. I incorporate the CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) framework as well as integrative health practices such as mindfulness techniques and yoga through my work in school-based and mental health counseling. I use a strengths-based perspective with families addressing the rewards and challenges of parenting. Play is how children process the world, and I love using play to heal. I take a client-directed approach to care. This means that we set goals together, you set your own priorities, and we talk about how to use your strengths to get you to a place where you want to be.
