Nathaniel Currie

Thank you for your interest and congratulations on your first steps to life change! I am Dr. Nathan Currie, much of my practice has been with communities of color and LGBTQ people in private and community practice settings, including four years with Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, and multiple years of community-based work in DC and Los Angeles. I am trained in CBT and very much draw upon an eclectic use of therapies; I bring a fresh perspective to my clinical work as I identify intersectionally with the people for whom I serve. All of my clinical work includes aspects of trauma care, and racial and social justice. Clients often seek culturally competent and affirming therapeutic services for treatment of depression, anxiety, bereavement/loss, processing a HIV diagnosis or other chronic health condition, processing an adoption, and Trans/non-binary identity therapeutic services including evaluation/letter for gender affirming surgeries. Some clients just want to talk. It is my hope to create a safe space for all people, and provide culturally competent therapeutic services. Therapy is a journey, a working journey, that we undertake because we desire growth, change, healing, and/or insight. It is an honor to be a part of that journey with you.
