According to the World Health Organization, suicide is second leading cause of death among those with ages ranging from 15 to 29. Many professionals tell us that having direct conversations about mental health is essential for those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and other forms of mental illness. However, in my experience, these are often difficult subjects to discuss. There is often fear about “saying the wrong thing” or “not doing enough.” I excel at offering a safe and inviting environment for clients and their loved ones to explore these difficult conversations. Together, my clients and I aim to discover the source of their distressing symptoms and develop a plan for change and healing. I consider it a great privilege to be a therapist.
