Therapist Overview
**NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS*** I am currently a licensed clinical professional counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor. I received my BA in psychology from the University of Arizona and then received my MA in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I specialized in treating both mental health and substance abuse concerns. My experience has been primary with adults, adolescents, and their families who struggle with co-occurring concerns, which include substance abuse, anxiety/depression/mood instability, and additional concerns related to experiencing trauma. The interventions I use most often are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and existentialism. I often use techniques from many different theories in order to best treat each client individually. I’m happy to meet clients exactly where they are in the process of change. I always approach therapy with the utmost amount of empathy and respect for clients. I always stand to empower my clients and to also work collaboratively to find solutions to problems. I do believe everyone needs help at some point in their lives and I am here to help be a part of that process.
