Therapist Overview
As a practicing educational psychologist in an alternative school setting, every day I see students who have moved through the public school systems without the support they need to learn basic foundational skills. They have a lack of understanding of how they learn and this causes low self-esteem and low functioning academically and socially. Additionally, these academic difficulties often bring about behavior challenges in school and in the home setting. These students need individualized attention and require assessment to further determine appropriate intervention for academic success. As a Licensed Educational Psychologist I conduct Independent Educational Evaluations and provide educational therapy for school aged and transition aged youth who may exhibit academic, social, and/or behavior challenges. As a result of the assessment I am able to provide acadmic and in home recommendations for student success.
