Therapist Overview
I have spent my career listening to people’s revealing and powerful life stories. Stories about love and fear, relationships, good and bad fortune, life-limiting insecurities, depression, and anxiety over thoughts and feelings about not being good enough, not having enough and not belonging. What I observed during my 35+ year’s as a practicing psychotherapist is that no matter how our life stories may present themselves, we are all fundamentally the same. The details of our lives vary, as do our exteriors, but the essence is always the same. We all have wants, we all have needs, and we all have fears. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of Columbia University, New York University and Boston University. I have an eclectic professional background having specialized in eating disorders, grief and loss, gender identity and other LGBTQ+ concerns. The focus of my current practice is that of a generalist with a soft spot for helping LGBT seniors.
