Therapist Overview
***Offering online therapy and accepting new clients. Covid-19 is challenging all of us in ways such as direct and indirect exposure to trauma, loss of loved ones, fears of infection, financial hardships, loss of careers or a business, and all of us are having to adapt to sheltering at home. It is normal to experience extreme emotions such sadness and depression, anxiety, irritability, anger, frustration, hopelessness, loneliness and fear. You don’t have to go through this silently, or be alone with your struggles; talking about your experiences can help to persevere through these difficult times. I specialize in trauma therapy with adults and children using evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). I also draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), coaching skills of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and effective communications. To everyone, I say thank you for doing your part in this pandemic and please stay safe. We will get to the other side of this!
