Therapist Overview
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and typically work individually with adults. For the past ten years I’ve practiced in a variety of settings to help people find their way through a range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, major life-transitions, spiritual or existential crises, parenting, and professional concerns. My approach to psychotherapy tends to be practical, supportive, and down-to-earth. I usually see people once a week, over a long enough period for them to better understand their challenges, and improve their lives by learning how to make productive changes in how they respond to them. I’ve done research on midlife issues and adult development, and have a strong interest in helping people navigate relational challenges, phase-of-life challenges, and personal or professional difficulties that people often characterize by describing themselves as feeling “stuck”. If you’d like to discuss pursuing psychotherapy, please feel free to give me a call so we can set up a brief phone conversation to determine the best path forward for you.
