Finding a counselor and beginning the therapy process can be daunting and difficult. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients, allowing and empowering them to voice wants and needs throughout the therapy process. Often the therapeutic relationship formed through counseling provides an opportunity for relationship practice. I view clients as whole people and my aim is to treat holistically – integrating body, mind and spirit into the counseling room. I primarily work from an attachment perspective, holding to the belief that humans were created for relationship. Broken and unhealthy relationships have power to deeply wound us. Learning to create and cultivate healthy relationships can restore our sense of self and repair the places where we’ve been wounded. In addition to counseling, I am a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher and often integrate mindfulness and movement into my practice.
