I have a 25yr career of working with families, children, and adults. I am interested in finding the connection between an individual’s history and patterns from their history that continue to interfere with that person’s current life. This is a process of co-exploration. Its aim is to make changes to those behaviors that are agreed to be the focus from the beginning of treatment. I draw on the most current thinking about the impact of developmental stress or developmental trauma to guide my practice with adults and especially with understanding the connection between children and their caretakers. “Change is a process that begins with learning to care about yourself in this moment”
