Therapist Overview

I believe change is possible when we feel safe enough to be seen and understood. I provide a warm, thoughtful and nonjudgmental presence to help you clarify what you want from life and begin making changes to get there. Many people I work with address issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, grief and loss, supporting aging loved ones, multicultural concerns, and recovering from trauma. Our work will be a collaborative partnership that builds on your strengths and helps you take effective action so you can create the life you want. My approach offers ways to work with thoughts and beliefs (CBT), focus on your best hopes and what is already working (Solution Focused Therapy), encounter your inner world for greater understanding and acceptance (mindfulness), and address issues through neuroscience and the body’s intelligence (EFT or “tapping”, energy work, and Somatic Experiencing). Whatever your reason for considering counseling, my goal is to be as helpful as possible. Together we’ll find what works best for you.
