Therapist Overview
My approach is to offer clients the support, acceptance, insight and guidance needed in order to achieve a healthier and more fulfilling level of functioning in their lives. You may have already identified goals for self-improvement that you’d like to sort through, or maybe you are not yet able to articulate anything beyond your desire to alleviate a general discomfort, soreness, pain or paralyses you feel in one or more areas of your life. It is OK to enter counseling with more questions than answers! Your counseling journey has already begun as you’ve started to research therapists and take this important step for yourself. Prior to working in a counseling capacity, I enjoyed helping teens & young adults navigate life transitions through various supportive roles (teaching, advising, mentoring, life skills coaching) at SFC and UF, and am excited to be building upon those experiences by empowering my clients to identify and utilize their strengths through life’s complex dynamics. My clients’ issues typically involve stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, coping, life balance and boundaries. I believe that, with appropriate support toward self-awareness, each client has the ability to discover and practice individualized skills that will ultimately lead to healing, growth, internal peace & fulfilling relationships.
