Therapist Overview
In Network with OPTUM, Oscar, CIGNA, United Behavioral Health. ~ When someone is in conflict, some common false beliefs that may be getting in the way is the belief that my feelings, my worth, and my value come from outside of me, therefore someone else should take care of me. As a result are power struggles in which each person tries to control the other. The way out is to change the system by changing those beliefs. It is only when love becomes appreciation instead of dependence on the other person that this will happen. During therapy, I will try to help you understand the connection between thoughts, feelings and then actions and how this affects our behaviors. By focusing on mindfulness, it can help with the build up of negative feelings so we can build a better relationship with ourselves and others and also emphasize positive thinking patterns rather than negative ones. I am easy to work with, I am sensitive to your concerns, and my clients have reported to me that they appreciate the life experience and good humor that I bring to them in our work together.
