With over 15 years of experience, I’ve had the opportunity to help clients around a number of areas and subjects, including relationship issues, grief, stress, trauma, depression, addiction and worry, and I have been fortunate enough to practice in settings like community mental health, college counseling centers, and the VA hospital. I believe in considering the unique perspectives and experiences of each individual, and tailor the counseling process to your needs and context. Simply stated, my approach is curious, warm, gentle, challenging, and safe. I use a variety of therapeutic tools that create an environment full of exploration and answers. I also work full time teaching at a local university where I help graduate students learn how to be counselors and psychologists and hone their therapy skills.
