Therapist Overview
Many people come to me to figure out relationships. Whether you are seeking to strengthen a struggling committed relationship, navigate a relationship crisis, hoping to break old relationship patterns that limit your happiness, or are contemplating or dealing with a divorce or break-up, counseling can create clarity and provide some direction. It takes courage to ask for help and let someone into your inner world, especially when you’ve been trying so hard to hold it together. Once you reach out, however, you usually feel relief. Whether you want to figure things out as a couple or individually, you don’t have to do this alone. I’m trained in somatic methods and EMDR to help clients resolve trauma and connect the dots to how it’s impacting their lives and relationships. I utilize the Gottman Method of couples counseling. As a former facilitator of Connecticut’s Parenting Education Program, I’m also trained in helping clients to parent and co-parent after divorce. My style is warm, non-judgmental, and practical. My job is to hold a safe space for your anxiety, fear, depression. I’ll meet you where you and proceed at a pace that’s comfortable to you. Take the first step and call or text me at 203-418-7902 or email [email protected] to set up a free 20-minute phone consultation today.
