Therapist Overview

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in working with ethnic minorities, survivors of trauma (specifically survivors of interpersonal trauma), and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I approach therapy from a multicultural, feminist, strength-based, and relational perspective. I will see you as a whole person with multiple (sometimes incompatible) identities. I aim to empower you to use your voice. Just like being in any other relationship, I believe the therapist-client match is very important. Together, we will work together to address the issues you are coming in with by learning more about yourself and how you interact with others. Prior to starting my practice, I worked in various clinical settings including a VA hospital, public hospital, and college counseling centers. At my most recent job, I worked with survivors of sexual assault, queer people of color, gender nonconforming, and transgender folx. I earned my PhD in counseling psychology from Fordham University and master’s from Teacher
