Therapist Overview

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful agent of change and that healing begins only in a place that is truly safe for self-exploration. I work with my patients to help them come to know themselves more deeply in order to reduce emotional distress, improve relationships, and gain insight into their current struggles. I use an integrated psychodynamic approach to help my patients feel empowered, more self-aware and more confident in their choices. My style is open, interactive, empathic and treatment is always tailored to the individual’s needs. I have extensive experience with individuals across the lifespan. I have worked in community clinics, college counseling centers, hospitals (inpatient and outpatient), and schools. Before becoming a clinical psychologist, I also worked as an early childhood educator. My research has focused on the attachment system, trauma and improving mentalization. Reaching out to a new psychotherapist is a big step. No matter what a patient
