I believe the most effective way to work with others is through a direct, compassionate approach. My personal style is non-judgmental, open and positive, while at the same time providing honest feedback. Using the client-therapist relationship as the center of our work together, I will collaborate with you to identify the issues troubling you and to find solutions that create the life you want to live. There’s no one-size-fits-all therapy, so I use a variety of methodologies including: DBT, CBT, family systems, and strengths based treatment. I also like to incorporate humor, art, journaling, mindfulness, and health and wellness. I have been in the field since 2006. My areas of expertise include: adolescents and families, anxiety and depression, managing anger, improving relationships, divorce, substance abuse, and self-esteem. I also work with parents and adolescents on guidelines around “screen time” and social media, curfew, dating relationships, and substance use.
