Therapist Overview
Counseling is often about you changing the perception of yourself and seeing your true value. Many times we cannot see all of the positives in our life because of mental obstacles surfacing from our past or from a current situation. I see the value in everyone and help guide clients to become aware of the value within themselves. I am a father of 6 children, a military combat veteran and would be honored to help with overcoming obstacles and barriers to happiness. I have worked with both veterans and abuse survivors in the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder/TBIs and primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I use CBT to treat anxiety/depression focusing on addressing thinking errors and other obstacles. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) I conduct psycho-educational training in relationship communications and also use both Transactional Analysis and Family Systems to assist couples and families
