Therapist Overview
People come to therapy for many different reasons, and the current health situation and its impact on your life and the lives of your loved ones, may be one of these. You may be faced with life changes and decisions; you may have suffered a loss; you may wish to lead a happier, more fulfilling life; you may want to work on a specific issue or relationship; or perhaps all of the above. Personal problems may be difficult to handle alone, particularly at times of increased stress and uncertainty, and talking with a therapist may help. This is a first courageous step on the journey to improve your life and take better care of yourself. For more than 20 years, I feel privileged to have helped adults of all ages cope with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, lifecycle issues, trauma, and interpersonal concerns. My work is integrative, drawing on various treatment approaches, depending on what would be most helpful to you, and given your reasons for seeking therapy. I provide a supportive and welcoming space, whether in person or in video session. My aim is to help you process difficult life experiences, develop greater insight and self-understanding, enhance your self-esteem, and build valuable coping skills and tools you can use to manage problems now and in the future.
