Dr. Irini Gouzos received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, along with a Master in Human Sexuality from Widener University. She has worked with diverse individuals of different races, ethnicities, religions, age, and sexual orientations in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, and outpatient practices. Dr. Gouzos completed one of her internships at the exclusive Keystone Extended Care Unit, in Chester, PA where she worked with individuals struggling with sexual compulsivity and trauma; this placement fostered her interest in working with individuals that struggle in relationships, and with attachment. Dr. Gouzos has conducted research on men’s emotional responses to experiencing infidelity, and the coping skills that were used in order to overcome this relational betrayal.
