I believe good mental health is a part of your overall health and wellness. Imagine carrying a back pack that is heavy with loss, sadness, anger, guilt, stress, depression, anxiety or any other difficult emotion in response to your life. It may seem unbearable. When problems accumulate, stress can seem insurmountable. My career as a professor of Clinical Mental Health professionals and years of experience in helping others serves to help clients manage those overwhelming issues. My personal goal is to assist you by offering therapeutic interventions that will help you lighten your back pack. Therapy can be life changing. Professional therapy and counseling are treatments that can improve your mental wellness. I see clients with a variety of issues, some of which are marriage or relationship, family counseling, children’s issues, depression, anxiety, stress, loss and grief, gender identity, anger management, adjustment and transition issues as well as mental health issues. Reaching out for help is the first step in improving your life. The second step is finding a counselor who really connects with you, gives you hope, and inspires you to make changes that will improve your life. The third is working with a therapist who helps you set personal goals and gives you the tools you need to reach those goals.
