Therapist Overview

I am a contemplative psychotherapist and mindfulness meditation teacher, using mindfulness in the treatment of anxiety and depression and in improving relationships, focus and overall health. My hope is that my work as a therapist makes the therapeutic process easy and accessible to many different kinds of people. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I have a special interest in working with adolescent girls and with couples and families. As a meditation teacher, I believe the value of mindfulness in improving mood, focus and relationships has been the greatest change in psychology in years. Each person is given the option to learn this technique in the therapy process. I have been involved in diversity initiatives about race and gender for many years. My training is psychodynamic meaning that I employ a blend of therapy modalities I have worked in several schools and in psyche hospitals. as well as in private practice
