Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families that have experienced trauma. Trauma is different for every person from sexual abuse to losing a loved one to being yelled at as a young child. The approach I take is creating a warm, safe place for my clients to be heard and validated. Through education, relaxation, CBT and EMDR I assist clients with working through the most difficult memories that keep
