Therapist Overview
Psychotherapy is a process of collaboration, discovery, acceptance, and change. Together, we will explore the many factors impacting your life and your experiences. We will make space for you to listen inward and reflect. You will be encouraged to clarify your values and set clear and achievable goals. Along the way, I will offer feedback, encouragement, and support. We will observe your current patterns, identify your strengths and resources, and explore a wide variety of strategies for healing and growth. Prior to private practice, I worked as a therapist at Family and Children’s Service of Ithaca and at Duke University’s Student Counseling Center (CAPS). In addition to providing psychotherapy, I am trained to teach mindfulness and meditation through The Center for Koru Mindfulness. I am committed to social justice and to providing therapy that is empowering and affirming. Clients and students tell me they appreciate my warmth, honest feedback and sense of humor.
