An Intensive Outpatient Trauma Program (IOTP) Our patients are coping with trauma issues in individual therapy and would like additional support to strengthen their ability to understand their trauma, how it has impacted them and how to heal. They can learn in our program that they are not alone and that they have personal strengths they can harness to increase their well-being and achieve recovery. Our groups provide patients with a supportive milieu in which to process the effects of their trauma with peers and clinicians and to learn how to replace self-destructive coping behaviors with effective strategies, freeing them to directly address their trauma. The program consists of the following groups: Trauma Psychoeducation; Healing Relationships; Grief and Loss; Positive Psychology; Process Group; Mindfulness for Trauma.
