Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, anxiety, depression, teens, and parenting skills. I use a person-centered and eclectic approach in sessions; meaning meeting a client where the are and tailoring the approach to meet their individual needs. To reach these needs I primarily use evidence based techniques (a.k.a. asking a lot of questions and insisting on self exploration). I believe in working with the client to achieve their goals moving at a speed that works for them. Just as we all learn to read at our own pace, we also learn how to handle our inner struggles the same way. My mission is to empower those I work with in a supportive and motivated way. I often tell my clients “This is your journey, you know where you want to go, but it is useful to have a tour guide pointing things out along the way.” and that’s my job.
