Therapist Overview

Clients I serve are typically curious about their wounds – psychological and other. They are interested in examining the connections, complications, and complexes of their inner vs outer self as well as any aspects of themselves they find uncomfortable or distressing. My hope is to serve clients in transforming unknown aspects of their being into opportunities for enduring growth and healing through reworking, reclaiming, reintegrating, and meaning-making. While I treat clients across the life span, I tend to attract clients who are in adolescence and young adulthood seeking to access deeper aspects of their identity by working through previously unexamined patterns of relating to self and other and consequently the world. I have a keen interest in cultural forces and tend to pay attention to how a client’s cultural history as well as the climate of the times and their particular environmental pressures influence well-being, intended transformations, hidden dreams and desires.
