Therapist Overview
My therapeutic goal is to build a collaborative environment where I can learn your narrative and your strengths in an effort to assist you in becoming your best possible self. My approach is centered on you the individual and it is your goals and dreams that will guide our time together. In order to fully understand the world that the client lives in and how their experiences have shaped them, I always view the client as the expert of their own lives. I am empathetic towards the unique challenges you face and offer an integrative approach when examining the behaviors and perceptions that may be obstacles to your goals. The education and experience that I have gained throughout my course of study at Oakland University have prepared me to offer my services to clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and transitional difficulties. I also have over 22 years of experience as a secondary educator where I’ve worked with adolescents and their families. As an educator, I’ve seen how issues like anxiety and depression can affect the progress of young adults. I’ve also seen how these issues can affect the family. My years as an educator, working with adolescents and their families has also provided me with the knowledge that we are all capable of self-improvement. I’m here to help you on your journey.
