Therapist Overview
Good therapy happens when clients feel respected and understood. I listen, talk, interpret, untangle – always drawing on my experience with intergenerational and relational issues – to address your individual needs. Together we can identify goals, overcome obstacles, and help you make positive change. Many of my clients have histories of childhood trauma and stubborn, “treatment resistant” depression. They tell me that they appreciate my calm, kind, straightforward style. Though therapy is serious, it shouldn’t have to be grim. I work hard to make my office a safe, supportive space for our collaboration. I earned my BA from Princeton and my MSW from Boston University. In addition to work at McLean Hospital, I spent over a decade counseling in schools including extensive work with at-risk teens and their parents. I see adults, couples, and adolescents 16 and up in Arlington and Tyngsboro.
