Therapist Overview
I appreciate that many of my clients are at a crossroads in their lives, already feeling vulnerable, confused, and unsure whether change is possible. My philosophy is that change is possible, and through education, collaboration, and thoughtful treatment goals everyone is capable of finding that change. I develop an individualized and structured recovery plan for each client, focused on the biological, social, and emotional foundations of the specific problem, including a comprehensive intake, collaborative goal-setting with measurable objectives, psychoeducation, and symptom-focused treatment and weekly monitoring. I offer specialized training in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and tend to combine these empirically based modalities with a warm, strength-based, and individualized approach to treatment. I have experience working with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and chronic self-harm. Finding appropriate behavioral healthcare can be a daunting task. Many of you have already spent hours or days searching online, calling insurance companies, meeting with general practitioners, or asking friends if they “know of anyone” who can help you make the changes you desire. My goal is to simplify this process and support you in taking the next step.
