I have been working with grief, both normal and complicated, for nearly 25 years and have specialized training in treating both. For those who are going through a “normal” albeit difficult time coping with the loss of a loved one, you now have a place to go where you not only tell your story but learn how to get through your grief to the other side. If you are going through a long-term grief (more than six months with little change in your symptoms), I can offer Complicated Bereavement Therapy, something few others are trained in. Grief is not only a reaction to death of a loved one. It can also mask itself within the loss of independence due to health and/or mental health challenges, or the changing of one’s identity.
