Therapist Overview
Do you struggle to fully accept yourself as you are? Have you been living with HIV for a long time and feel unheard or isolated? Are you concerned that your drinking, sex, use of substances or other habits have gotten out of control? Maybe you and your partner are having trouble with communication or trust issues. We all want to be heard, understood and accepted. I would like to help you gain more clarity about your needs and make the change you desire. I have vast experience working with seniors (over 50 y/o), Black gay men, LGBTQ people, HIV+ individuals, young adults and others. I have a passion for working with those rejected by family and/or stigmatized by society. My work addresses addiction, anxiety, depression and internalized stigma related to race, gender and sexual orientation. As a social worker, writer and community organizer, I bring a social justice lens to my work with individuals. I am trained to provide teletherapy. This practice focuses on gaining clearer insight and self-awareness through the therapeutic process. Greater mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being is within your reach. I invite you to join me in a collaborative and affirming experience and lead the journey toward your best life.
