My role is to help to find the “you” that you’ve been missing. I meet you where you’re at and help you to chart your course to where you want to be. The idea of change can be exhausting which can make it difficult for people to even know where to get started. Working together, we can make it easier and move towards that change. My job is to help you find those reasons and work through any fears you have about the changes you want to make. I view therapy as a partnership, with you as the captain and myself acting as a navigator assisting with uncharted territories to help map out ways for you feel better. I enjoy working with a wide range of ages & use skills from motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, person centered & CBT theories. I am passionate about working with folks struggling with substance use concerns, PTSD, anxiety & depression. I try to bring humor to sessions & want you to leave feeling better each session than when you arrived. The treatment for a emotional pain may be different than that of a physical injury, but the outcome should be the same: reduced or removal of discomfort. I want people to know that they are not alone, their feelings are real, & together, we can find a way to reduce or remove the pain they are feeling.
