As a Registered Play Therapist, I work with children 1 year and older with a variety of presenting concerns: anxiety, ADHD, social difficulties, academic struggles, behavioral concerns, divorce, life transitions, self-esteem, anger, and grief. My passion lies with children and their families who have experienced trauma, abuse or attachment difficulties. Recent brain research has proven that the absence of a secure attachment with a primary caregiver negatively impacts the child’s normal developmental process. In order to ensure inner change, my play therapy work often initially focuses on developing a positive, consistent, and nurturing relationship with an attachment figure. My goal is to foster healing in children and help them to grow emotionally, which allows them to thrive in everyday life.
