Therapist Overview
I work with adults, older adolescents, and couples, and facilitate groups. I treat depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, family of origin issues, OCD, trauma, and grief/loss. Life is difficult and often painful – much more so for some than for others. This pain brings people to therapy to engage in a process that is itself often painful; and yet they do so willingly and with hope. I am continually inspired by my clients as they engage in this process and come to see themselves in new ways, and make choices that allow them to live more fully. I believe much of the suffering that brings people into therapy is caused by entrenched emotional and relational patterns and habits of thought and behavior. Therapy is about exploring and understanding those patterns and empowering people to change those which are no longer serving them. If you would like to set up an initial appointment with me, the best way to reach me is by e-mail.
