My approach to counseling is holistic because of the interrelationships between our minds, emotions, physical bodies, and spirituality. Being able to manage stress and strong emotions, and form mutually supportive relationships with others is very important for many clients — children, adolescents, or adults — regardless of diagnosis. I have a special interest in doing attachment work with children and parents when the parent-child relationship is disrupted because of adoption, abuse, illness, or other factors. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ clients and their families. I am challenged and inspired by the difficulties that many LGBTQ people face as they embrace their identities.
