Therapist Overview

Struggling with food? Down on your body? Sadly, it’s so easy, in our culture, to dislike our bodies. It’s also easy to find ourselves mired in a cycle of overeating, efforts to get “back on track”, and yet more overeating or bingeing. We can find ourselves consumed by thoughts of what we will eat, what we won’t eat, what we wish we could eat, what we ate last night. It can be exhausting. It can zap the joy and zest right out of us. You deserve to respect your body, and to truly enjoy food without worry. I specialize in helping people to break the diet/binge cycle, and to develop a relaxed, joyful, and balanced relationship with food and their bodies, regardless of size. It can be done. You can do it, too. I approach work with clients, myself, and the occasional glazed chocolate doughnut with warmth, respect, authenticity, and humor. Please call me if you’d like to set up an appointment or to find out more.
