They’re not to blame for what’s happened in their lives but do need to take responsibility for their actions. I support kids in not feeling broken or thinking they are “bad”. I use play, art projects and stories to help them express feelings. I teach them skills to understand and manage their feelings and teach them to share their feelings to get support and feel safe.
