ACCEPTING CLIENTS VIA TELEHEALTH ON TUES &THURS (AS OF 10/30/2020). Life is challenging. Life’s challenges, both past and present, place stress on our bodies and our minds. Left unaddressed or untreated, stress progresses to distress which negatively impacts our ability to experience fulfillment and enjoyment in our lives. Distress also interferes with our ability to function to the best of our abilities in our home, work place, and community once it progresses to symptoms of anxiety or depression. I work with clients to identify stressors, how stress manifests itself in their their body and mind and how to change the way they manage their reactions to stress in order to improve their quality of life. I also work with clients on identity development, as knowing oneself lends itself to experiencing fulfillment and enjoyment in life. Building trust and a safe environment for therapeutic work is paramount in my work with clients. This can take time or be established relatively quickly, depending on each client’s relational comfort. I meet each client where they are at. My role is not to push or to pull a client along in treatment but instead to encourage and support.
