Often in therapy, the focus on symptoms overshadows the person. I see my patients as complex and whole, with valuable strengths alongside their difficulties. Your symptoms may be rooted in life stressors, past trauma, or feel totally unexpected. Getting stuck in painful thinking, emotional, and relational cycles can hinder natural growth. In our therapy, I will create a warm, validating atmosphere where you can be your authentic self, expressing fears and insecurities, needs and aspirations. I believe feeling “seen” and understood provides the relief and clarity needed in order to foster agency and create meaningful, lasting change. Though therapy is serious business, there is room to be humorous or even playful in our work together. I believe that feeling comfortable and connected frees us to be more curious about ourselves, thereby promoting greater self-awareness and flexibility.
