I have a deep desire to come alongside children, teenagers, adults, and families when crisis or trauma interrupts one’s life journey. My scope of practice includes, but is not limited to the following areas: Anxiety, Depression, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Acute Stress Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. My counseling approach reflects a whole-person dynamic because I view each person as a physiological, psychological, social, and spiritual being. I seek to collaborate with my clients to help find solutions that work for them so they can facilitate change that is sustainable over time. I am experienced in the provision of crisis intervention and stabilization, along with the integration of elements from various therapeutic theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), mindfulness, reality therapy, as well as elements of play therapy and art therapy with children and teens. As a counselor, I seek to genuinely get to know my clients in an effort to understand their unique context so that I may meet them where they are and walk alongside them toward psychological, social, and spiritual healing.
