Therapist Overview
NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS Transition is often challenging, & adolescence is one of the most challenging. Research shows a growing number of teens are feeling isolated & alone, leading to depression, anxiety, & unhelpful thinking patterns & behavior. Women also experience different roles, requiring transitional skills & a listening ear. This journey called life is full of ups & downs, joy & pain, being known and feeling alone… I believe that God’s creation says something significant about God’s character, & that in the company of others & the context of the outdoors, we are challenged to new levels of thinking & experiencing life. I use a variety of techniques in my work with teens & women, beginning with a person-centered approach. These include: individual sessions in an office setting, incorporating art, talk therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Based Therapy; and individual/group outdoor Adventure Therapy sessions, utilizing managed risk in multiple adventure-based settings.
